What Swissvax does against product counterfeiting
Swissvax consistently defends its intellectual property rights – copyrights and trade marks: through legal action against counterfeiters and close cooperation with local authorities.
The fight against counterfeits is not only about protecting the brand. It is about securing the quality and know-how of our handcrafted products and protecting consumers from products that can pose a health risk.
The safest rule: buy exclusively from authorised Swissvax dealers and partners.
Swissvax continuously monitors the internet – websites, e-commerce marketplaces and social networks – for counterfeit goods and listings that give fakes greater visibility. Every year we successfully have websites, ads on sales platforms and pages on social networks that infringe our rights taken down.
In addition, we work directly with the most important e-commerce platforms and social networks to proactively filter and identify adverts for counterfeits early on.
How can you recognise original Swissvax products?
For security reasons, Swissvax cannot share detailed authenticity information publicly – it could be exploited by counterfeiters. The most important rule of thumb: if the offer sounds too good to be true, it is probably a counterfeit. This applies to brick-and-mortar retail just as much as online.

Three ways to identify an original:
Source – Only buy from authorised Swissvax dealers. Items from flea markets, private events or unauthorised websites are highly likely to be counterfeits.
Price – The quality of a genuine Swissvax product determines its price. A strikingly low price is a clear warning sign.
Details – Counterfeiters often make mistakes with the packaging: poor print quality, spelling mistakes or a faulty logo. If in doubt, compare with the product photos in our official online shop.
